Sport Studies offers excellent progression opportunities to universities, higher education courses and apprenticeships. Students can progress into careers including teaching, coaching, sport development, personal training, sports therapy, sport management and journalism, gaining the knowledge, practical skills and industry experience needed for success in the growing sport sector.
Over two years, students complete 14 units through exams, set tasks, coursework and practical assessments. Work experience develops industry knowledge and career readiness for the next step. Lessons combine practical activities, technology, discussion and teamwork. Strong organisation, commitment and a passion for sport, health and performance are essential for success.
Students must buy one kit bundle (Academy-specific or Sport and PE) and purchase revision guides/workbooks for externally assessed units to support course success. Teachers will send links for this.
