The Women’s Football Academy is for ambitious students who want to combine academic success with high-level football. Designed for talented players capable of competing in the top tier of college football in England, the programme supports students in balancing their chosen course of study with an elite training and competition environment, helping them thrive both on and off the pitch.

Our philosophy is simple: we don’t just develop better players; we develop better people. Students leave the Academy equipped for success in university, apprenticeships and employment, with many progressing into sport-related degrees and careers. For those pursuing football pathways, opportunities may include playing at higher levels, coaching, officiating and performance-related roles. Whatever the destination, students leave as confident, resilient and well-rounded individuals.
A typical week combines technical and tactical training, competitive fixtures and performance analysis, helping players develop for football at the highest college level. Students have opportunities to represent the College in regional and national competitions while also exploring the extra 1%s through psychology, nutrition, recovery, strength and conditioning, leadership and lifestyle management, supporting success both on and beyond the pitch.
An Academy membership fee supports the programme and provides gym access. A training and match-day kit package is also required and will be communicated to successful applicants. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in an optional Warm Weather Training Camp in Salou, Spain, providing additional training, competition and team-building experiences.
