Why this course?
You will study a range of different fiction and non-fiction texts from different time periods. You will develop your skills in writing for different purposes and audiences. Lessons include group work and individual work, as well as class discussions.

You would normally combine GCSE English with a Level 2 BTEC depending on your existing qualifications. All university courses, many college courses, as well as many employers, require you to have a minimum standard (often grade 4) in GCSE English and this course will help you to progress towards this achievement.
You will be assessed by two exams at the end of the year. You may complete one speaking and listening assessment depending on your prior achievement.
