Core Maths
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed to equip learners to develop and apply real-world maths skills. There are four main strands to the course:
- Applications of Statistics
- Probability
- Linear Programming
- Sequences and Growth.
It is the equivalent to an AS Level course.
FURTHER INFORMATION
You must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4, including a grade 4 or above in Maths GCSE.
Students taking this course can progress to university, employment or higher apprenticeships in a wide range of industry sectors, or professional training.
This course is assessed by two external examinations.
