Worthing College launches new initiative with The SAND Project
Worthing College is proud to announce that it is partnering with The SAND Project to launch a new initiative to empower young people through real-world learning.
The SAND Project is an organisation that offers practical and meaningful learning experiences in real life settings for young people with extra support needs.
In order to help with this inspiring project, the college will soon be offering young people from the project with an interest in grounds maintenance and agriculture valuable work experience on-site at Worthing College.
They will help care for and maintain outdoor areas across the college, such as the rugby pitch, courts, and the former forest school’s zone.
This gives the students valuable experience in land management, teamwork, and self-led work, skills that will help them in future employment opportunities.
To help support this project, the college is asking for sponsors to come forward to help fund the purchase the tools and equipment to support this year’s learners, and to improve the overall quality of the playing surfaces and grounds.
The following options are available to sponsor this exciting project, allowing you to support a meaningful learning opportunity and gain exposure for your business or personal brand:
Bronze – £250 – 2 slots available
- Company logo on the Worthing College 2025/2026 rugby shirt (arm)
- Your brand will be seen at college-level matches. The team plays at the highest level in the country.
Silver – £500 – 1 slot available
- Company logo on the back of the rugby shirt
- Name featured on the college’s sports-related social media posts
- One free official match shirt
Pitch-Side Banner – £300
- Your branded banner will be displayed around the pitch at all home games
- High visibility for attendees and social media coverage
