This course is ideal for students interested in the Armed Forces, Police, Fire or other public services. You’ll develop confidence, leadership, teamwork and resilience through practical learning, adventure training and our CCF, providing an excellent foundation for Level 3 study and future careers.

Successful students can progress onto our Level 3 Uniformed Services programme, providing further preparation for careers in the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Service, Prison Service, Border Force and other public services. The course also develops transferable skills valued in apprenticeships, employment and future higher education pathways.
Assessment is continuous throughout the course and includes practical observations, coursework, presentations, written assignments and work experience. Tasks are based on realistic Uniformed Services scenarios, helping you develop workforce-ready skills. A variety of assessment methods allows you to demonstrate your strengths, with final grades awarded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.
A Uniformed Services gym kit must be purchased from Broadwater Sports for practical activities. Most CCF costs are covered; any additional costs, such as boots, will be explained at enrolment.
