On Monday 15th October, 38 of our A level Geography students went on a field trip for the week to Margam in South Wales. They stayed at the Field Study Council field centre in Margam Park.
They saw deer on the property, as well as a small animal farm with donkeys, goats, sheep and rabbits and they didn't get rained on once and even saw quite a bit of sunshine!
The students visited various places in the local area and experienced using different field trip methodologies for collecting Primary data in both urban settings (Porthcawl town centre and surrounding area) and coastal settings (Newton coast and sand dunes).
Students chose their individual coursework titles and collected their own Primary data for their coursework projects. It was great to see our students grow in confidence as the week went on and develop new friendships within the group.
