Students at Worthing College have confirmed Ofsted’s ‘Outstanding’ rating of the college with another set of excellent A-level results. The college has recorded a 99% pass rate for A-levels, according to figures just released for 2020. An impressive 26 out of 31 A-level subjects recorded 100% pass rates. Paul Riley, Principal at Worthing College, said: “We are very proud of our students and of the results we have achieved in what has been a particularly difficult year. “They have shown great determination in adversity and worked hard to achieve their grades. “We must also recognise our staff and the dedication shown by their teachers as they have supported their students in completing their studies in circumstances that none of us could have predicted. “We congratulate our students, many of whom will be going into their next steps – be that higher education or employment – with confidence. “We will also be supporting those students whose grades may be lower than expected. We support our students throughout their education journey and our priority is helping them find the right pathway for them – it is no different this year. “We also have to remember that, given the unusual nature of this year’s assessment process, our pass rates could increase following any recalculations.” Chichester College – who, alongside Worthing, Crawley and Brinsbury Colleges, is part of the Chichester College Group – has also achieved a 99% pass rate A-level results for 2020.
