A Great Honour! Student designs the cover for Worthing Artists Open Houses' programme

Each year we get really excited about Worthing Artists Open Houses, especially taking part and being a venue celebrating the creativity of our students and staff. This year we are excited to be more involved than ever!

Last month we ran a competition in collaboration with Worthing Artists Open Houses to give our Visual Arts students the opportunity to create the winning design for the Logo and Leaflet Cover for this year's event. Three semi-finalists selected by the organisers of Worthing Artists Open Houses worked alongside a graphic designer from Northbrook MET to finalise their designs before an overall winner is picked.

Thank you to Hazel Imbert and Lorraine Heaysman for coming into college to present the awards, as well as interview and photograph the shortlisted students. We saw a great selection of entries - congratulations to Anya Greene, Jess Dam and Emily Williams for being shortlisted, and to Jess Dam whose design was selected as the overall winner.

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to work towards a professional client brief alongside a graphic designer. All the designs entered into the competition are going to be exhibited as part of Worthing Artists Open Houses at Our Lady of Sion School on 29th and 30th June 2019.

You can find out more about Worthing Artists Open Houses here. We are Venue 23 and you can see work by college students and staff, as well as our artists in residence, during Worthing Artist Open Houses 15/16 June 11am-4pm and 22/23 June 11am-4pm.
