An Incredible Set of Results

The last couple of weeks have proved incredibly successful for the Worthing College sports academies with our first congratulations going to Lexie Spurr who was successful in her final trial to be selected for the British Colleges women’s hockey squad.

Congratulations also goes to our netball and women’s rugby academy teams who won their respective AOC tournaments undefeated to qualify for the AOC National Championships in April.

The netball first team then continued their winning streak beating Reigate 56-32 in Round 3 of the AOC National Cup. The netball second team then played BHASVIC winning 23-16 in the Sussex Cup quarter final.

This week the men’s second football team caused an upset when they played Barton Peveril, winning 2-1 in round three of the AOC National Cup.

The men’s rugby first team beat Marling School 40-10 in the quarter final of the National Bowl competition at home with a fantastic crowd of over 100 supporters which really helped the boys.

The women’s rugby team won the AOC Development League and will play the South West Champions on 29th January. Good luck girls!
