The third Aspire talk of the year took place on Wednesday 13th November with a fantastic 80 students in attendance.
This talk was delivered by Dr Eddy Viseux who is the Senior Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at The University of Sussex. His talk with titled: ‘From False Teeth to Anti-Cancer Drugs’ and was incredibly interactive with plenty of students finding it very thought provoking.
Aspire has really supported our STEM students and future medics. Those in attendance left the lecture with an enhanced understanding of the importance of the anatomy of a cancer cell in finding new treatments and drug discovery.
