The First Generation Programme is a support programme run by Worthing College for students who might be considering university in the future. It is intended to help students who come from a background which does not, traditionally, have high rates of progression to university.

The scheme is run by Worthing College in partnership with a number of local universities.

The benefits of joining the programme include:

  • Subject conferences and workshops at local universities

  • Guaranteed offers of places from local universities who are members of the scheme

  • Summer schools at local universities at the end of year 12 to give you a taste of university life

  • Information events for students and parents and carers

  • Personal statement and interview preparation workshops
