What will this course cover?
The Geology of the Indian Ocean, its Islands and Margins
The geological story of the Earth's youngest ocean and its islands and continental margins.
Every bit as exciting as the Pacific; from The Andaman Islands to Zanzibar. Featuring the Krakatoa eruption of 1883, the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004, the Earth's largest delta and some of its deepest trenches. Something for everyone!

Oil, Gas and Geology: an update
What we learned about oil and gas in the twentieth century and what has happened since then! Why have North Sea reserves not dried up? What's all the fuss about fracking? New techniques, new theories, new prospects and nothing too technical.
Geology of Devon and Cornwall
Paving the way for an optional residential field course in May 2012 this is story of Cornubia: its geological history, moorlands, coasts, mineral wealth and mining heritage and much more. Even if you cannot make the field course it's a great introduction to some of England's favourite holiday haunts.

Term 1 7-9pm starts 20th September 2012 till December 13th 2012
Term 2 7-9pm starts 17th January 2013 till 27st March 2013
Prices £100 per term.
Season Ticket terms 1 and 2 £150 payable in two instalments of £100 in September and £50 in January.
